Anyone who says critical race theory (CRT) is biblical has either never picked up a Bible or has never been taught sound Christian doctrine. In fact, Christianity and Marxism are complete opposites of one another because the Marxist view of the world requires you to view human life through the separation of society which requires grouping people by status, race, religion, income, etc. in order to pin groups again each other, spark revolution, to push societal change in a particular direction. In Genesis, the first book of the Bible, God created one type of man—human kind. Adam’s skin color is not mentioned in the Bible. However, the one distinction God thought was important to make between Adam and Eve was their sex (which is important in their partnership). God did not say that one group or race was to subdue another. In fact God created human kind to subdue the EARTH. We are all equally made in the image of God and created for the exact same task—to be God’s representatives on earth. If God made things to be in perfect harmony with one another, where does critical race theory fit? CRT is a twisted blame shifting tool that distracts society from the real issues that are underneath the surface: 1) that racism is the sin of partiality, hatred, injustice, and the bearing of false witness committed by an individual, 2) humanity is sinful in nature, 3) the only solution for sin is through Christ who lived a perfect life and died for the sins of all who accept his sacrifice
This is critical race theory compared side by side with the biblical world according to scripture and the definition of CRT by its authors and devout scholars.
HIDDEN AGENDA
Mission: Replace Christianity & Destroy America
Study and categorize people into groups (economic, religious, ethnic)
To pin groups against one another
To separate them as the oppressed versus the oppressor
To create crisis and identify public opinion molders
Prevent the flowing exchange of ideas, cultures, and traditions through the destruction of powerful institutions (the robe of society)
To successfully implement communism through society and culture instead of economics (the traditional marxist line of though)
Obliterate and control every institution all the way down to the nuclear family—the most secure and valuable wall to infiltrate
To break up families so that children aren’t raised in institutions that pass on traditions so effectively (thereby breaking apart hegemony)
DIAMETRICALLY OPPOSED: CRITICAL RACE THEORY & CHRISTIANITY
Critical race theory and Christianity are diametrically opposed because CRT alleges that cultural hegemony, which is founded on the Christian worldview, is the root of all problems. Additionally, the Christian worldview has been the American worldview since its founding.
Marx (Marxism) believed that religion was the "opiate of the masses" and he strived much of his life to "dethrone god and destroy capitalism.”
Gramsci (Cultural Marxism) believed that "Any country grounded in Judeo-Christian values can’t be overthrown until those roots are cut…in the new order, Socialism will triumph by first capturing the culture via infiltration of schools, universities, churches and the media by transforming the consciousness of society.”
COMPARE & CONTRAST: CRITICAL RACE THEORY & CHRISTIANITY
Since critical race theory acts as a replacement for the Christian worldview in America, let's compare it as such:
| CRT | CHRISTIANITY | SCRIPTURE |
RACISTS | White, Male, Cisgender, Able-bodied, Native-born, CHRISTIAN. | Any human being because sin is humanity's imperfect condition | Ecclesiastes 7:20 |
RACISM | A group's systemic sin of racial prejudice revealed in institutional power | An individual's sin of partiality revealed as racial prejudice | 2 Corinthians 5:10 |
TRUTH | Any assertions from the oppressed must be accepted without question | God—who has divine knowledge, sees all & knows all—determines truth | Romans 1:18 |
ISSUE | Systems that oppress minorities, whiteness | Humanity's sinful nature, rejection of God | Deuteronomy 5:24 |
SOLUTION | Working to be anti-racist, fighting for social justice, more government power | Repent of individual sin, accept Jesus & His atonement, allow the spirit to sanctify | 1 John 1:9 |
GOAL | Change occurs only by our own efforts, utopia where outcomes are equitable | Unity with God & each other through Jesus, utopia after Jesus' second coming | Revelation 21:1, 4 |
THE WAY | Build collective power in order to overturn unjust systems | Allowing the sanctification in our hearts by the Spirit unify us to God, Christ, & one another | 2 Thessalonians 3:13 |
IDENTITY | Oppressed or oppressor, criteria is dependent on skin color | God's beloved creation made in his image, brothers & sisters in Christ | Genesis 1:26-27 |
EMOTIONS | Guilt, Anger, Resentment | Weary, Repentant Love, Joy, & Peace | 2 Corinthians 7:10, Galatians 5:12 |
SUMMARY | Analyzes society's issues through lens of power, divides oppressed & oppressor groups | Recognizes humanity is sinful & imperfect, points to salvation in Christ through repentance | Romans 5:12 |
SPIRITUAL WARFARE: THE BATTLE IN THE UNSEEN REALM
Cultural marxism attacks the foundation of culture: the nuclear family, marriage, traditional morality, law and order, etc.
All of which are adopted from the Biblical worldview. For example, the “nuclear family” is not part of “western culture.” The family unit originated in the Bible at the beginning of creation when God made man, woman, & their ability to reproduce. This means the family unit’s origins pre-date western civilization. (Genesis 1:27-28)
*Such ideologies target Christianity because of its tremendous influence on culture, order and morality…
SPIRITUAL WARFARE: SATAN’S EXPLOITATION OF HUMANITY
Marcuse, who also came from the Frankfurt School of Critical Theory, is known as the father of the "new left.”
He coined “the Great Refusal:” the exploitation of the sexual, feminist, and minority liberation movements to aid a permanent state of revolution by leveraging humanity’s unquenchable thirst for more money, sex, and power.
SPIRITUAL WARFARE: GOD’S FOUNDATION OF TRUTH & DIVINE POWER
Ephesians tells us that we are to be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power (6:10) by putting on the full armor of God in order to stand against the devil’s schemes (6:11). Our battle is not with those around us, but rather the unseen spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (6:12).
Dear Lord,
Whoever has ears let them hear what Your Spirit has to say.
Amen.
