A SECULAR OVERVIEW FOR THE PROTECTION OF UNBORN LIFE
The reason why culture is so obsessed with this so-called “reproductive health care” is because women want to have sex without consequence. Men like to sit by on the sidelines because they either share the same longing for pleasure without consequence or they want to evade a controversial topic. The choice is not “my body my choice” because that child is a completely autonomous human being with his or her own body, DNA, and soul. The choice is this: have sex and deal with the consequence OR don’t have sex.
Abortion is a form of child sacrifice—the mother is exchanging innocent life for a “better” or “more desirable” outcome. We are talking about ending innocent human life because of pride and selfishness. Abortion is the greatest crime against humanity that the world has ever known.
THE UNDENIABLE TRUTH: THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE
A woman’s right to choose what to do with her body starts with choosing to be sexually active [or] sexually abstinent.
A woman does not have the right to choose between the life [or] death of another human being whose body and DNA are not her own.
THE SCIENTIFIC TRUTH: LIFE BEGINS THE MOMENT OF CONCEPTION
Scientists agree that the zygote is a human being
The baby has all the DNA he or she will ever need at the moment of conception
Sex is determined at fertilization when an X or Y chromosome is given by the sperm
The child’s heart can be heard at ~5 to 6 weeks
DEBUNKING HARD CASES
What about incidents of rape or incest?
Murdering an unborn child is not the answer. Becoming pregnant as a result of either of these incidents would undoubtedly be troubling. However, two wrongs do not make a right and its unjust to hold a child responsible for the crimes of his or her parent(s).
What about risk to mother's life or potential for birth defects?
Abortion is never medically necessary and this situation makes up less than 1% of abortions. In almost all of these cases, a C-section or early labor can accomplish what is necessary to protect both mother & child.
THE MAJORITY OF ABORTIONS ARE ELECTIVE
Meaning they are done because the mother sees her baby as inconvenient
Woman don't have the right to use murder as an escape hatch for a decision they won't accept the consequences for— especially if "the solution" impedes on another human being's right to life.
Did you know that…
Rape & incest cases make up <0.5% of all abortions
Health risks make up <1% of all abortions
Since Roe v. Wade, 62 million babies have been aborted
If a pregnant woman is murdered, it's considered a double homicide
THE ABORTION PROCESS: THE BABY FEELS IT ALL
Abortion Method 0-12 Weeks
Suction (Aspiration) D&C: Suction catheter is entered into uterus to extract baby, tools are then used to scrape the uterus of remaining body parts.
Pain Receptors at 6-12 Weeks
Baby has reflexes
Baby actively changes position in the uterus and begins to react to harmful stimuli
Whole body is sensitive to the touch
Child responds to taste will swallow more amniotic fluid if artificially sweetened and less if it's bitter
Child's neurotransmitters send pain signals to brain
Abortion Method 13-24 Weeks
D&E: Dilation & evacuation is a surgical method that starts with dilating the mother’s cervix & then using instruments to dismember the child in order to extract him or her from the uterus.
Abortion Method 25-31 Weeks
Induction: The child is killed in utero via lethal injection which causes cardiac arrest. The mother is induced so that she can deliver her still born child.
Pain Receptors at 14 Weeks & On
Child responds to pain, temperature, chemicals, pointed pressure, and light
Baby cries, wiggles, and throws out arms if there's suddenly movement or loud noise
The child can react to outside stimuli just like an adult
THE ABORTION PROCESS: BARBARIC, INHUMAN, SADISTIC
Abortion is unnatural and disrupts the childbearing process—something a woman's body anticipates
Abortion sends the mother's body into shock because her body has been working nonstop to nurture & support the human life inside her
Abortion rips a child from a place where it's meant to be, his or her place of protection during development
The child's body is often mangled, broken, & torn in pieces during the process
ALTERNATIVES: THERE’S A RIGHT ANSWER & IT’S NOT MURDER
Adoption: Birth mothers have the option to look through a list of prospective parents to choose the perfect couple for her child
Legal guardianship: If a birth mother needs some time to get things in order, legal guardianship gives the baby a stable place to live for a period of time.
Parenting: Choosing to be a parent is scary but its the greatest gift ever imaginable. Mom never has to do it alone, It takes a village to raise a child.
Lean on churches & crisis pregnancy centers: They're willing to assist with housing, finances, support, legalities, pre- & post-natal care, supplies, etc.
Dear Lord,
Whoever has ears let them hear what Your Spirit has to say.
Amen.
