When the children of darkness pick up their torches, pitchforks & plot wickedness in the dark over unjustified & unholy things. The children of Light are called to be angry at what makes God angry, His holy & righteous wrath. However, we are to leave room for God's judgment by responding only with Truth, love, & light. Waiting on the Lord's Justice is a true exercise of faith because we are required to be totally reliant on the promise & perfect timing of His day of Judgement—when the Lord administers eternal Justice (Rom 12:19).
This verse stands as a promise of Jesus' ultimate victory over death & sin. The secret of the Kingdom of God that was not fully understood was revealed through the death & resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Old Testament prophecies were fulfilled by the Son of Man. With everything out in the open, those who reject(ed) Him are without excuse (Rom 1:20).
The gospel still goes forth & spreads throughout the earth today, revealing the wickednesses & evil in its darkest corners. The beautiful thing is how God uses His children as instruments of light to the world. We do that by simply living for God, sharing the gospel, giving Biblical instruction & knowledge of application (Mk 4:21).
Everything covered up will be revealed, & all that is hidden in the dark will be made known in the light. Many will continue to reject the Truth because they overestimate the value of their mind & understanding, which come from the world. God keeps the Truth from those who are wise in their own eyes. God hides what should be obvious from those who are arrogant (Ex 7-14). God's Truth & light reveal sin & corruption. But the prerequisite is to receive these things first. "Let the little children come to Me, & do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it" (Mk 10:14–15).
Pay close attention to what & how you "hear." Check everything you hear, read, & watch against scripture. View the way people live & the fruits they produce; compare those to scripture. Hearing is more than hearing; rather, it is perceiving.
