Remember when nobody cared about the flourishing economy that was taking place under Trump? What they failed to realize is that a country’s economy directly impacts the everyday lives of its citizens. America saw an economic boom and a record recovery, we invested in American workers and families which benefitted the lower class, there was tax relief for the middle class, massive deregulation, fair and reciprocal trade deals, and energy independence.

The Bible talks about economic morality more than any other societal issue. Many of the parables Jesus spoke about had to do with economics. Why? Because God appointed mankind to be His representatives in the world. He expects us to be moral stewards of the gifts He gives us. That means willingly giving to others because God first gave to us. That means spending money on things that are virtuous and managing money humbly and gratefully. Embodying these attitudes refine our sinful human nature that tends towards greed, the exploitation of others, covetousness, and blindness to the negative impacts of reckless spending. An economy formed from a biblical worldview looks like an economy that gives people freedom and equality of opportunity all while limiting human sinfulness along the way.

The Biden administration has put America in a position that impacts the lower class more than anyone else while benefiting the wealthy as well as foreign entities. We move towards a socialist and communist regime more and more every day as we fall deeper into national debt. The current administration keeps making unwise financial decisions through careless spending on unnecessary efforts, they give money to entities that produce evil everywhere they walk, all while encouraging Americans not to work because of excessive government handouts. I hope that everything happening serves as a wake-up call. We shouldn’t forget that we are ultimately owned by whoever we owe a debt to, nothing is ever free.
