I named my blog Aletheia because it means truth in greek. Aletheia is the primary word used for truth in the New Testament in the Bible. Aletheia means to make something known, to reveal or unhide. Aletheia denotes truth as a virtue; it characterizes truth verified by fact & describes what is manifested by authentic matter. It is a perfect, exact representation of its kind when something is true. Aletheia is the reality that exists before our eyes as opposed to an illusion of the mere appearance of something that is without reality. Truth harmonizes with reality.

Humanity's biggest flaw is focusing on what seems wrong on the surface instead of what is truly bad underneath. We can truly understand the reality of what's happening around us by looking at the world through the lens of absolute truth, a Biblical worldview because it exposes the unseen spiritual warfare around us.

The truth is a hard thing to come by nowadays, primarily because of society's great disdain for the Word of God, which is the capital-T Truth. Why is truth important? Because life has consequences for being wrong. Truth is essential to discovering knowledge about the natural world. The universe's complexity around us can only be possible because of God, the infinite Creator. However, we are the finite creatures of His creation. God is the Author of our reality, so what is true is based on what God wills & establishes. Therefore what we know to be true can only be revealed through God.

To be the originator of that which is true, God must be Truth (Ex 34:6). God is not like man that he should lie (Nu 23:19). His Word is accurate, so we look to it for divine revelation. All scripture is God-breathed, which means all of scripture is inherently true. The Bible is the precondition of the manifestation of truth. The Bible is what makes truth possible.

Today's principle powers want to remove God & His Word as the foundation of everything we see around us, but they can't do it. As much as they lie, deceive, & cover the truth, they can't accomplish removing God because everything around us screams that God exists (Romans 1). Those who try to redefine truth are the ones who are convicted by it.
